Paper alert - Madagascar small-scale fisheries

Led by Olivia Fortunato-Jackson, in collaboration with Merrill Baker-Médard, we published a paper on fisheries catch among small-scale operations in Madagascar. The work is part of our larger National Science Foundation grant on understanding the relationship between social and ecological dynamics in Malagasy fisheries. We examined over 9,000 fishing trips across 17 villages to assess how catch differs for men versus women, by gear type, and in proximity to healthy reef areas. The article already has over 500 views online.
